We're getting some much needed rain today, so what better to do than stay home and sew?!
Anyhow...
The CMQG went on a little Shop Hop from Waynesville to Cincinnati, hitting up three Quilt Shops plus Ikea! Yay! We loaded up on fabric, got to know each other, and had a blast along the way! The above fabrics are from {THE} Fabric Shack, and SEWN Studio... my previous post I told you about a new quilt pattern I bought, and that was from Lavender Street Quilts, also part of this Shop Hop! I came home with my wallet a bit lighter, but that's all right... I think I restrained myself pretty well, considering.
And do you think I'd come home with nothing to share with you?

I am lacking in purples and pinks. I have a little boy, so I tend to get boyish fabrics, but now I have 3 nieces so I need more purples and pinks!
I have the most blues and greens, and the least purples (no surprise) and red - which does surprise me. It's hard to keep a balanced stash. guess I need to go buy more fabric right?! :)

i don't know how it happened, since i'm quite fond of purple, but i have exactly *one* purple fabric in my stash. it's obviously time for some focused stash-building!

I am lacking any shade of darker blue. To put together rows for our work United way quilt, we had to use a variety of navy/dark blues. I had to bow out of that stage of the quilt. Instead I sewed all the rows together. Great giveaway - and the color I need most!

My purple stack is very small, I'm not very fond of purple. My brown is also smallish, I must not be very fond of brown either.

I do not have enough blue or gray.
I need more neutrals (and solids) - I fall in love with bold prints and buy them all the time. But those blue prints on a neutral background totally count, right?

My stash is low on purple, mostly because it's not a color I particularly like. I do buy it sometimes if I find a nice clear purple. Your trip sounds like fun. A friend and I made a trip that included Fabric Shack and Ikea a while back and we really had to restrain ourselves from buying too much!

Oh gee ... my fabric is not very organized so I'm not sure what color I'm lacking. But I seem to have way too much in the pink area and would like some "boyish" colors to balance.

I joined a block swap this year and realize that I do not have very many solids. It seems like every block wants solids and I have had to go buy more fabric than I wanted. I was hoping to make most of these using my stash.
