{a scrappy Give-away}

I've got way too many scraps to know what to do with!
After a few recent finishes I have piles of (coordinating) scraps laying around and I just can't look at them anymore!  The aqua and mustard scraps are from two pillows... and the green and blue scraps are from my Bluegrass Kaleidoscope quilt yet to make its debut at the NQA Quilt Show here in Columbus in June!

Who wants to take them off my hands?  I'll be giving away both piles to one lucky reader...  and there's plenty there to make mug rugs, mini quilts, doll quilts... or any other small fabric-y project you can think of!  Some are strips, some are squares... and there are a few OOP prints too!  I'll throw in a couple scraps from my very first piece of handmade clothing, a Tank, freshly cut from the pattern today ... its the totally fun Britten Nummer design from Ikea!

To enter just leave me a comment  saying what you'd make from these scraps!
Comments are now closed!

Be sure to leave your email address or some other way to contact you!
NO EMAIL ADDRESS = NO WINNER!  And then I'll choose a different lucky duck.
International Entries welcome :-)
Drawing is open until 1pm (EST) this coming Wednesday... and I'll divulge the winner hence-forth.

Good luck!

I'd probably cut them up, add them to my scrap bins and make quilts ala Bonnie Hunter.

I would probably make a postage stamp or tokyo subway quilt with them. I love that mustard and aqua set especially! My scrap stash isn't so large sadly! Thank you for the chance :)

I'd definitely add to my scrappy quilt. I am bored with my scraps and love the blue/orange.
I've ordered the tank pattern too, and am making a dress soon! Can't wait to see your adaptation :)

Doll quilts! I have several little girls who I need to make doll quilts for, and would love to have some more fabrics to add to my scraps.

Beautiful! I am making a scrappy rainbow quilt and I am having to scrounge and trade around to get enough scraps for it, so I would love to add these!

Fingers crossed. :)

I'd make some sweet itty bitty quilted zippy pouches. Just the quilt part would be itty bitty, not the pouch. :)

Right now I'm addicted to making make up bags and other little bags. Your scraps would defo find their way in!

I love scraps. I don't know why I can't throw them away, even the smallest ones are kept. With your scraps, I would hoard them (you may see me on an episode of hoarders one day) and then when I have enough I will make a scrappy quilt.

I'm amassing blues and greens (and greys) for a throw I want to make for my family room, so I'll be crossing my fingers. Who makes that totally great print in the blue/green stack that's circles in rows? It's third from the top. I'm very new to sewing and I've never seen it before.

Thanks!

I am in the process of making end of year teacher gifts - we have a lot of teachers to give to so I need to start early. I am going to make rice bags and zippy pouches. These scraps would be perfect. Thanks for the chance!

I love that these fabrics have blues, greens and oranges. I have started to make quilts that are more masculine than others I have made so that my two boys will have some quilts to take with them when they leave the nest...I just finished the first one this month and my boys were fighting over who gets it. I think these fabrics would be great for a quilt for that purpose.

The aqua and mustard would be awesome for pillows or a wall hanging for my living room - the top projects on my to do list. Green is also my favorite color and I would definitely make a lovely quilt with that second batch of fabric. Or maybe a purse. I've always wanted a green purse. Thank you for the generous giveaway! (I have a few giveaways for fabric on my blog that end tomorrow if you want to check them out.) :)

These are colors that we would love to incorporate into a scrappy quilt - my mother has a Judy Martin project already selected and now we are working towards gathering up scraps. It takes lots of scraps for a king sized bed quilt! Those aquas/turqs are her favorite colors too. Thanks for the chance.

(email from Julie McKaysy)

I would make scrappy blocks, possibly granny squares, or similar and set them with a lot of white space around them.

Oh and by the way, I loved the close straight line quilting on your Bluegrass Quilt - my favourite quilting.

Kind regards

I'm busy collecting fabrics for my farmers wife quilt that I'm going to be making. I'm a little late jumping on the band wagon, but I will get to it! But first I think those green and blue fabrics would make a cute little purse for the summer!!
