It seems like its been ages since I listing anything new in my Etsy shop, so over the last week I've been able to whip up two (count em TWO!) mug rugs! For me, quite the feat! Why has my sewing time been so sparse?
Our townhome is officially:- FOR SALE -
(and making it look spotless for website photos and showings takes a lot of time!)
But now he loves to flush it... sigh.
My poor sewing space has been reduced to this... but still usable, and my projects are tucked away in boxes in the next room, so I'm ok with it. I kind of like it all neat and tidy... see that rainbow quilt on my cutting table? Its going to get quilted tonight! *huge grin*
... AFTER Eli is in bed!
Anyone have fun tips for making showings super special? I always make sure there are fresh flowers out, and a treat on the kitchen counter. What else can I do?
We've had 3 showings in the last 2 weeks. I consider that progress in a market like this!

3 showings already is great. Your home looks wonderful. We moved a year-ish ago and I know what work it is to get the house ready!
:)
sonething that smells nice! boil some cinnamon right before you leave.
you're still staying in columbus area, right??
Definitely staying in Columbus! IF it sells we're hoping to stay in the Westerville or Gahanna area.
Years ago when we were selling our townhouse (and by 'we' I mean, my mother an I when I was a kid) the realtor told her to make a little dish out of tin foil and put vanilla extract in it, and put it in the oven on low - it makes the place smell like baking. Just in case you don't have time to leave a treat on the counter!
Good luck!
light scented candles...
I always hear baking cookies will do it. I love your 'window' in the sewing room!
Love the mug rug and the pictures of the townhouse look fantastic! If only it stayed that orderly in "real" life, right? :-) I say that as I look at my living room floor that is covered with Power Wheel cars...yay!
As for that cutting table...I got the exact same one for Mother's Day! It has been a back saver!! Love it!

last time we sold I put a BIG bowl of lemons on the counter and right before a showing, I would run one through the garbage disposal ... looked nice and smelled fresh too! House is beautiful ... good luck keeping it so neat with the little guy around!
love the tile in the kitchen.
SOLD! Columbus is a commutable distance from Minneapolis, right? Right?!
