I'm so very lucky that Amy Butler lives just outside of Columbus and she made an appearance last night at my favorite little Fabric Shop, Sew to Speak!My friend, AnneMarie, and I waited in line for an hour to meet Amy and boy she didn't disappoint! She was so friendly and took the time to sit down with us, chat, and sign out books.
She was truly amazing! And all her yummy designs were strewn about the shop, not to mention all the FABRIC we were drooling over but didn't want to get out of line for.
Amy Butler is the first celebrity, of any kind, that I've ever met (I'm lame, I know!) and it was just really great... I highly recommend meeting her if you ever get the opportunity!

I live in Springfiled and wanted to go sooo badly!!! Very jealous you did! I love all of your creations, especially your modern quilts. My next project is going to be Amy's Weekender Bag. Looks intimidating!

I was there too! :o) A few people after you I bet... it is such a small world. I have been connecting with AnneMarie over our blogs. I would love to come to the meeting tomorrow but I work until 7:45pm, so too late. So bummed. But maybe next time!
It's really cool to meet your favorite fabric designer. I got to meet Kaffe Fasset last year at the Houston quilt show and hear him speak about his quilts. I was super excited and my husband gave me a hard time about it. Said I was a dork. I totally understand your excitement!
