Craft Show Preparedness?

Can one ever be completely ready for a craft show?... especially when its my FIRST craft show?
I kinda think I'll be sewing up through Friday afternoon - then we leave Friday evening for N. Kentucky. Show starts at 9am Saturday morning!

So far here's what I've got done:

3 Sewing Machine Covers (I plan on making more this week!)

16 sets of Burp Cloths

12 Stroller Quilts

(My favorite of which is this one... with a a non-stippled quilting design)

24 Kitchen Towels
(Ok, fine, only 10 are done but I WILL have 24 by tomorrow night)

20 pairs of Baby Leg Warmers
(made from women's knee socks)

If time permits, I want to make some mug rugs too!
*Also done are a bunch of zipper pouches, 2 baby quilts, and a lap quilt
but you can see some of those here*

I promise to take photos of my booth to share after the show! I'm planning on it being a success!
If not, I can at least say I tried it!

Let's not forget my little helper, Eli!

Starting on Sunday, Dec 4th... sewing CHRISTMAS GIFTS!

This is going to be a lap sized quilt to be sold at the craft show in a few weeks...

What are you going on about?

I've been wanting to make one of these Mug Rugs for a while now!
A few days ago I said ok, lets just whip one up and see how long it takes.
Thirty minutes later I said "ta-da" and husband goes "What's this mug rug thing you keep going on about?"
So I tried to explain it as a big coaster that holds a coffee cup AND toast... a soft washable plate... a mini quilt you use as cup holder AND napkin combined.

I don't think he gets it, and that's fine. He's a guy. Linux, he gets. Mug rugs, not so much.

Aprons are done and ready to hold money at the craft show... (T- 19 days!)

Again, thanks to my sister for coming for five days and helping me with brainstorming/ironing fabric/baby care! It was a blast sister!

I was also able to whip up this wonky star for Tiffany... um, 2 weeks late but close enough!
She said we could take our time so I took her up on the extension.
This was my first go at a wonky star and I thought it was rather fun! I followed this fabulous tutorial - thanks Victoria! I've actually been itching to make one BIG wonky star quilt like this one on Flickr.

So... what are you just *itching* to make?

What could be better than Ikea?

Ikea always has the best deals on duvet sets, and this is no exception!
This is the "Vildris" duvet set which means tons-O-fabric for $9.99!
Its gotta be at least 5 yards of fabric plus of course 2 pillow cases!
This one set can easily back two large quilts then add the pillow cases to my stash.
If you live near an Ikea and you love fabric, check it out!

Thanks to My Little Sister!

Little Sister is a newlywed, in every sense of the word. New husband, new home, the whole shebang. When I told her my husband was going out of town for business she insisted I bring Eli down to her house in Norther Kentucky and spend the week sewing! Man I love her!

I was able to finish this adorable little quilt top made entirely from Park Slope 6" pre-cut squares... being quilted today!

TWENTY zipper pouches!

Then to top it off I received a custom order for this baby Elf Hat.... she chose teal and lime green, I think its adorable!

I completely realize I am blessed to have family live close by who spend time with Eli and love on him while I get some sewing done.
T-minus 24 days until Craft Fair! I've downgraded my fear from "freaked out" to "mostly freaked out."

Bee Blocks for Lisa! Blue+Black

Lisa (whom I see has just returned from Quilt Market in Houston!) sent this beautiful blue&black fabric for her month of the Sew New to me VQB. Its such a unique and pretty combination of colors, visual texture, and contrast.... she requested square in square blocks and these are what I came up with!
Each block is 12.5" square.

Lisa, I hope you love them! You're going to have one amazing quit when its finished!
