I haven't sewed a stitch since baby boy arrived, but I may attempt it this week. Just one block!

A Couple of Bee Blocks

Both of these blocks were for girls in the ~Sew New to Me~ virtual quilting bee on Flickr.

This block was for Corey (of Little Miss Shabby) and she had the month of March. She asked for scrappy Half Square Triangle blocks, 12.5" square. This was my design, and below was how I came up with it. I'm not much of an artist, but I'd rather mess up on paper, than with this gorgeous fabric!

This block is for Jessica (of twinfibers) for April and she asked for a two-toned block ala Denyse Schmidt's "Drunk Love" quilt design. She sent us two shades of pale blue, and this is what I came up with... um, the same day I went into labor. Good timing, eh? I really like how this turned out, and I can't wait to see BOTH of these quilts finished!

I know, I know... Hazel is missing! She doesn't really care much about Eli, but she's always close to Justin or me. She can't seem to figure out why we brought home such a time-consuming, and sometimes loud little person. ;-)
