On the Hook Today

This lovely little (soon to be BIG) granny square blanket will be making its home in our living room - I can't wait! This is the first afghan made by me, for OUR home! I'm using a somewhat lighter weight Bernat Baby yarn due to a) I can buy it in a huge 12.3 oz skein and b) the color Boo Moon goes perfectly with my decor. Hey, baby sport yarn can be used in other things besides baby blankets, right?

In progress: (besides a bun in the oven thats almost done baking) my Sew New to Me VQB QUILT is going to be basted tomorrow and then I can start quilting it, probably some free-motion meandering.... to make it nice and sturdy as I plan on keeping this quilt for EVER then passing it on to our kids some day when they're old and married. Or maybe just bequeath it to them in the will. Hmmmm... would I even be able to part with it?

So, what are you working on? Crochet, quilt, clothing or otherwise???

What a lovely afghan! The color is so refreshing. I'm just took a class in beginning crochet and now I'm taking then next level in April. I hope I can make an afghan soon!

I'm sending happy and positive thoughts your way regarding the impending birth! I just loved the newborn days and wish I could relive them again and again and again. Ahhhh.... the memories!

I just basted a quilt tonight and hope to spend the weekend quilting it. That's what I'm working on. Love your hexagons. I have become addicted to them! So fun and SO portable!

That looks like the exact pattern that my Monster's blankie, Hercules, is made from.

Working on some writing and some quilts today. Dropping off my low volume circles to get basted. I also started cutting my "Book of Negroes" quilt.

I like the color! And good job on the hexagon blocks. You are braver than me.

There are about 5 different projects waiting for me to hand applique'. I've just been too tired in the evenings to work on them. Plus, about 1500 photos are awaiting to be scrapbooked for the kids.
