This is Scottie, baby's newest (and coolest!) stuffed animal! My friend,
Jan, sewed it up and gave it to me in an innocent-enough looking gift bag. I opened it and (scaring my husband) squealed with delight! I've seen these Scottie Dogs all over Flickr and various blogs... and now I know where to find a pattern;
Denyse Schmidt! Although... take note, DS did not CREATE the idea of this puppy but saw it in a "popular woman's magazine" and no one actually knows where the original pattern came from. They're just so fun and PERFECT for a nursery or kids room. Even Hazel loves her new buddy, as you can see, they're about the same size.
So now that you have the (
free!) pattern - go whip one up, and I might just do the same in a smaller size so Scottie has a mini-me for on-the-go...

How do I say this?? .... I LOVE that doggie tooooooo ....
I found a copy somewhere of what might just be "that popular women's magazine" referred to on the DS site where you can download the image ..... DS recognises that this is not her design but people are starting to think of it as hers .... I struggle with people not being aware .... I've been thinking about posting on this .... don't want to be a "party-pooper" What do you think? Maybe I will when I finally make one!

DS actually asks for info???? I don't know anymore so I really hope someone does ..... I like to know the design stories .... the "journey" you know!
