40 Weeks + a final sneak peek

What else can I say? Today is my "due date" but nothing to indicate baby plans on arriving soon. But I'm fine with it... just chillaxin' at home, finishing a few last minute projects, and watching way too much tv. I'm quite enjoying it! Tomorrow my midwife will check to see if things are starting to get going, to put it mildly. And if I were to actually go out today (which I'm not) this is the outfit I'd wear, for sure. So comfy...

And I haven't forgotten - photos of the nursery! I'm so close, just one final project then I'll be ready to take pics. So sorry I'm set on having it "done" before revealing it... just how I'm wired. Can't help it. Its not that the baby's room is spectacular, couture, thrilling, stunning, or any other completely over-the-top descriptive. Its fairly simple, gender neutral... handmade, possibly even frugal although Justin may not agree with me. (But it SO is!) I want it to be photographed as a complete room, not with the mobile missing. Sue me. :-)

Here's what's kept my hands busy since Sunday night: 360 inches of binding! Woohooo!

Tomorrow I plan to photograph this baby in full - oh yeah - I'm excited! Binding is now done (as of 15 minutes ago) and I've draped it across the couch so I can drool over it a bit more... I can't believe its all ours to keep forever and ever! See you tomorrow, unless baby boy changes my plans!

I keep telling my husband I hope I'm like you when I'm pregnant, still busy with quilting :) Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

And if the baby decides to arrive by tomorrow, then I hope all goes well and you have an easy time of it :)

Goodluck!! I think you should go out in that cute number (it looks too comfy and cute not to be out on display) and celebrate your final day as a pregnant babyless lady. Even just a walk. Plus I hear that walking is good at this stage...

again, best wishes!

awwww, my second son was born 14 years ago today....my only child to come on the actual due date. And I have to say that it was a good day, not only because even at 10lbs, it was the easiest of all my labors...but he is a dream. Whenever I am having a bad day, he comes to me and the world all feels right again. I am sure your baby, whether boy or girl, will do the same for you...even if he/she decides to come on a different day. Stay comfy and maybe even take a few naps!! I can't wait to see your quilt all finished....

Looking good! Hopefully, baby comes sooner rather than later! It is hard to watch your due date come and go...at least, for me it is. ;0)

Ask your midwife if she will strip your membranes, its worked for all my friends who were overdue.

Just be careful what you wish for. it is so easy to be impatient at this point, but the reality is that it is something that can wait because it is just so much when it happens!

PS So excited for you with the nursery. I never got to do that, so I'm living vicariously through you.

A new baby.....it is all so exciting.
Looks like you have plenty to keep you busy until the little guy arrives :0).
Both my babies were two weeks past their "due" dates.....be patient, enjoy these last days of having your baby inside....it truly is a miracle.
I hope you have an amazing birth experience...be positive and ask all the questions you need to to feel less fearful.

Happy sewing

You're so close (and probably so ready)! The first one always seems to be late, but they wont let you go too long. :) He just wants to be an April baby.
