This VQB is going to force me to stretch, shape, and refine my quilting muscles. I've got a million different quilts I'd LOVE to make, but alas, time never seems to permit. This quilting bee will allow me to learn different styles and designs, with just 1 or 2 blocks, instead of stressing over an entire quilt! Great idea, and I can't wait to see what November's block will bring. I am assigned to January (enough time before baby arrives) so I've been researching ideas and tutorials... here are a few links that I've found inspiring:

I love them! I think you did a great job of piecing together prints of similar scale...I am usually too afraid to do that and put a tiny print with a big polka dot or something. I also like how a lot of your logs are pieced. Great work!
Ok, so am I missing something... I thought you were at work....he-he... Do you blog at work? Or do you work from home? ;0) Too fun.... Love both blocks. Still looking for a clue if it's a Boy or Girl... Or our you going for the surprise.
Heard from Thomi... she is not getting any sleep...up till 530am this morning..........icks.... Glad I'm just a Nana... even at only 52 I like my sleep...
Great blocks Cristin! I love the wonkiness of the blocks and think you have done a really great job! Wonkiness is hard for me! I must be too much of a square.

Love those wonky squares! I've been wanting to make a regular log cabin quilt, but wonky looks fun too.
Hi Cristin!
Great looking block. It was hard for me to make, too. I tend to like things that have right angles!
Happy Birthday, too! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Great blocks! And thanks for the shout-out to SewConnected. You're going to love being part of the VQB -- they are so much fun and it's amazing how much it'll help you grow as a quilter.
