Now Showing...

... a belly! Well, at least a little bit! I'm 17 weeks along, and finally starting to look slightly pregnant. (Dang that pants don't do anything for me though!) I've been procrastinating on taking profile pics because I just haven't felt pregnant, and certainly not enough to take a photo. Now that I'm *almost* half way there, I guess its about time. Hazel seems to think I'm interesting, haha~

On a much more exciting note, next Monday we'll find out the gender of baby! Some think that it's boring and lame (even "bland") to find out the gender ahead of time, but I am SO EXCITED to learn if we're going to have a daughter or a son.. I just can't wait another 22 weeks! Then I can decide if I should go with my gut instinct, or my usual obsession. I tend to think one is more feminine than the other... although both gender neutral.

On a non-baby note, I'm almost done putting together my Half Square Triangle quilt! (A more creative name yet to be decided.) After I get done watching the latest episode of Desperate Housewives, its off to the basement to get-R-done! Pics to follow!

What exciting things are going on in your life? Sewing or otherwise? New shoes... new fall jacket... master that pumpkin recipe? Do share!

I love that photo, Hazel looks very excited for the new baby too! And how exciting... can't wait to hear what you're having!

I'm working on a triangle quilt too, one for Halloween. Although it may not be done until next Halloween due to some craziness going on in my life right now. Oh well, life goes on. :)

You have such a cute belly! I remember having my first and thinking "when the heck am I going to look pregnant?!" LOL There's nothing more special than being pregnant. :-) Finding out girl or boy is great too, then you can get shopping and narrow down name negotiations by half! :-)

A small but distinctly baby belly. Before you know it you'll be whacking your belly into stuff and wishing it were a little smaller!
Enjoy stitching your Half Square triangle quilt.

Cute little baby bump :).

I just spent most of the evening putting 1/2 square triangles up on the design wall, and am very disappointed with the results :(. Hopefully I am just tired and things will look better in the morning>

What a great belly shot - I love the light.

It's a busy week for me - launching a Quilt Along tomorrow so that is my busy time.

What an adorable belly! I wanted to know the sex my babies both times. I think it helped me to give the little bump an identity and visualize myself with a baby.

I love the colors in your gut instinct quilt!

very cute! I don't blame you for finding out the sex of the baby...when the time comes for me I will be doing that too...I would totally want to know if I have a little boy or girl floating around in my belly! :)

Love your little belly :) It is so exciting when you get that first little baby bump! I don't think it is boring at all to find out the gender altho my husband was against it...I had to agree to being surprised for #2 in order to find out for #1...

Love the belly! Congratulations!
I think it's wonderful that if we choose to know ahead of time what we are having, we can! I never knew what the gender of my babies were till they were born. (Not sure anymore why I choose that route!) My first was a girl. I carried my second one so differently then I did with my first, I was sure it would be a boy. When the midwife told me I'd had another daughter, I told her to look again, I just couldn't believe it! Of course I was thrilled either way!

The trousers and belly look great! I think I'd like to know too. Exciting things in my life? (I know another sewer will understand - my colleagues think it's very boring) - a new sewing machine! :-)
