Happy 1 Year Etsyversary Hazelnut Designs!

One year ago today, I opened Hazelnut Designs and listed two crocheted baby blankets! I kind of cheated for my first sale because my sister bought the first thing. Thanks Carrie :-) Its now been a year, and I've learned so much, made a nice bit of cash, and can continue feeding my sewing/quilting/fabric addiction, thanks to Etsy!

Here is my latest baby blankie just posted tonight:

And here's the FIRST Item listed, one year ago today:

My photography skills have come around too, thanks to a homemade light box, a new Cannon Powershot SD790 IS camera (LOVE LOVE LOVE) and Photoshop. OK, and mucho trial and error. All in all, I really enjoy selling my goodies on Etsy, and hope to continue for... a long time.

Do you shop on Etsy? Do you sell on Etsy? Do you love it, hate it, or perfer some other Handmade site? I'm all ears! And Happy October to you - my b-day is this month, woohoo!

I LOVE etsy and just started using it about a month ago to purchase fabric. I love looking at all the wonderful handmade items, but haven't really had much time to explore -- YET :)

Congrats on a year :) Love the fabric on the blankie! I buy and sell on Etsy, but I'd say most of my sales happen through word of mouth.

Happy Etsyversary! I buy fabric on etsy and love it. I would like to open an Etsy shop for selling things I make but not sure how it all works. How do you like it? I'd really like to sell fabric, but that I'm not sure at all how to go about getting set up.

Happy Birthday to Hazelnut! I have two Hazelnut items and love them both! Hmmm...I have been pondering the light box for a few weeks now. I think I need to take the plunge and make one. Your pictures really are fantastic.
