Sneak Peek

Over the last week or so I've been working on these half square triangle blocks... soon to turn into a quilt top, fingers crossed! Rita over at Red Pepper Quilts has made a handful of really gorgeous quilts using the same kind of block, and I've just been enamored with them!
Now... to get just the right layout - that will be the challenging part. This quilt will be a Christmas gift, if all ends well ;-) For whom? I cannot yet say....

I've been loving Rita's half-square triangles, too, and I see you are using some beautiful Amy Butler fabrics. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

How weird I have just today been making my first foray into half square triangles. Tell me are you doing the short cut way of sewing down the two sides of the square and then cutting the square in half to make the two triangles? I am and I'm not entirely sure it is a short cut ... at least not the way I sew (i.e crooked)!

Since I'm constantly on the hunt for a "linen" that is easier to work with...what solid did you use here?
Thanks! Great blog, too. I've just started going through all the back archives...nice work!
