I've always loved the look of zig-zag quilts, so I tried this on for size. Option B:
The evening I took this photo was dreary rainy with crappy poor lighting, so sorry. But you get the gist of it. Sort of concentric diamonds... I do like it! Option C:
I won't be home this weekend to play around with more layouts, but here is another layout I really like, just found on Flickr today. (from Duckyhouse) So... I think I'll make a decision soon and start trimming trimming trimming to get EVERY square exactly 4.5". Sound like fun? Feel free to stop over and lend a hand :-) Happy Weekend to you!

I like A and C... I've been playing around with half square triangles too and the possibilities are endless!
I like B and C. C a bit more...
I like option A as it is quite different. My second choice would be Option C. It is quite amazing the enless variations there are with half square triangles. Enjoy ..
I like the look of C...but I think the picture you have from flickr is really intersting too...definitely something different.
I think I like the example from Flickr the best!
A is pretty and a layout I don't recall seeing before, but in the photos, B gives more of a sense of movement. Layout C is my favorite of the first three, but I've always loved that layout and am thinking about doing one in the style. I also really love layout D, so when you have time, see how that looks with your fabrics. Layout D is new to me (thanks), and I'd love to try that as well. So I guess (to me), C or D.
I see you also follow Rita of Red Pepper Quilts. Have you see this (a current project) http://www.flickr.com/photos/16948463@N03/3952613588/

Good luck! Will be waiting to see what you choose.

You can't go wrong with any layout because the fabrics you choose are gorgeous. I'm partial to C, but with an offset layout like this http://imjustaguywhoquilts.blogspot.com/2009/09/dqs7-finished.html
Hey Cristin,
I like B and C, here's why:
for some reason, the hearts in A look angry to me. I love zigzags like in B, and you can only get the mixed zigzags in the non-solid strips using triangles, not CrazyMom's shortcut using rectangles, so that's cool. Same goes for option B, the mixed frames only work with triangles. I also like the flickr picture option, but you could shortcut to that using strips sewn together and cut at an angle, so why go through the hassle of joining triangles ;)
Cheers,
Christine
I'm voting for the middle one or the flickr one... The first sort of looks spiderie to me. But, what do I know, I just a rippler... he-he.... Hope to post some reveal picture on Monday's Blog. For now, I'm just trying to catch up on my blogland friends.
It's totally cuter than in the pictures...
I like option C. A modern layout for modern fabrics.
these layouts are great!!! i love the second and third ones...i am in love with a zig zag
I like B and C the best.
Well... I'm thinking C might be the winner! I do love the modern layout! We shall see! ;-) thanks to everyone for their comments!
I like them all, but C is my favorite.
oh I say c also, they all look great but c really catches my eye.
AAAAA!! Choose option A. It is a perfect modern geometric pattern that is almost art deco-y. I really love it far more than the others (which have been done before)! It is very unique.
I like Option B...but C is also very different!
I really like C with the fabric you've chosen.
I like C because it's not something you see everyday and it's the most modern looking, perfect for the fabrics.
Whatever you choose, will be the right choice. How exciting! (I'm still counting on a march 29th bday...)
;-)
They are all beautiful, but I really love C. It is unique yet soft and beautiful.
Darn, I missed this post... to late for my opinion. (But I agree with your choice.)
